Rico DJs under the name Sodomahigomorra, with a practice deeply rooted in lived experience, shaped by a working-class background and years of movement across vibrant cities in Abya Yala. Their sound has been nurtured in punk scenes, trans communities, and underground raves, where music exists as both resistance and release.
Their sets are a dialogue between nostalgia and futurity, blending the sounds they grew up with and the new sonic textures of global undergrounds. Drawing from reggaetón, Brazilian funk, drum and bass, jungle, footwork, and house, Rico curates high-energy, emotionally charged, and genre-fluid sets that keep the dancefloor vibrant and sexy.
As Sodomahigomorra, Rico’s approach to DJing is intuitive and embodied—celebrating diasporic rhythm, queer pleasure, and the liberatory potential of sound.
